Was recently watching @KRabichow on stream and he gave some advice I've never heard: "don't trust your gut". The opposite is so popular in our industry but he went on to describe how for most of us we have no real data to back up trusting our gut more than our brain. 1/3
My equivalent piece of advice is that not enough people embrace the importance of negativity. Everyone who has run ungodly hot in life hops on their soapbox to pitch the importance of positivity. 2/3
They advise hoping/expecting the best to happen but my god if you look through most people who have actually crushed it they have a sense of realism/cynicism to anticipate a range of outcomes and ensure their median/mean to be pretty good rather than just hoping for the best 3/3
