Day 2 of #institutionalquarantine in #Bengaluru. Yesterday some people who came with us were swabbed, some weren't. High risk individuals like elderly and children were definitely swabbed. Nothing else to report.

There is very patient and polite doctor sitting in the hotel lobby. Seems like he was stationed there to answer questions from people like me, which is probably exhausting. Everyone speaking to him is not polite and hindi is not his first language. Kudos to him.

He says that guidelines are still evolving and they are not sure which passengers are getting checked out. The only way this is unfair is that we are paying from our own pocket and it seems unfair that some of us should go and some don't without clarity in the rationale.

I have a feeling that karnataka is realising that they are unable to house so many people and be responsible for all the swabbing and possibly all the asymptomatic positives. Of course this is just speculation. #institutionalquarantine #Bengaluru #DomesticFlights

It will be frustrating that we had to spend money and others don't, but we always knew this was a gamble. We were worried that with opening flights the case rate would rise again and would be stuck in another state for a longer time. Ah well, maqtub.

Good news! We have been asked to check out, given documents for home quarantine and asked to stay inside. We have not been swabbed and I am not sure what's happening, but we are going home after 3 months. Stay safe guys. #institutionalquarantine #bengaluru #DomesticFlights
