As a non-black person, I need to stay in line. But I do want to speak up. I don't want to be crickets.
The behavior of A Cooper has me in absolute disgust & knowing that she's not an outlier leaves me angry and upset.
To the black community: I am so sorry. I love you. You matter.
I have a hard time making decisions whether it is better to speak up or not. Also, this is Twitter and I cannot possibly put all my thoughts into 280 characters. But I want to do better and be better. Amplify the valid voices around me. And we ALL should do that. Not just RTs, -
but also expose ourselves to more diverse voices. Follow and - in Twitchs universe - raid, support & lift up diversity. Have conversations. Ask questions. I'm still far from being great at it and I'm working on improving, but supporting this fight goes way beyond a tweet or two.
I'm sorry that I'm talking about my feelings here, because I actually want to talk about YOUR - the black community's - feelings. I want to know how you feel. How you're coping. And how I (and we) can help. What we can do to support you. I want to listen. We all need to listen.
