I always said every “Shila” & “Pratima” of our temples Speak

Today let me try to demonstrate, how our temples hold volumes of Info & is an Encyclopaedia.

We have 2 pictures here.

I)Hazara Rama Temple, Hampi, Karnataka

II)Shiva Temple, Sihoniya, Madhya Pradesh
The water outlets (Number - 4) seen in both the pictures is called “Pranaala” locally known as “Gaumukh” – An water outlet from the Garbha Griha.
In picture – I, Above Pranaala, we see an empty Chamber called – “Anuprastha” (Miniature Shrine).

Observe the Dwarapalas on both the sides. Who are they?

Jaya & Vijaya right?
(Number 1 & 2)
If Dwarapalas are Jaya & Vijaya, Who should be in the Anuprastha?

Shri Maha Vishnu right?
(Number - 3)
In general, it’s always Vishnu above Pranaala. But then why should it be Vishnu?

Because “Pranaala” is also the Water Outlet portion of Shiva Linga & the portion is called as “Vishnu Bhaaga”.

Representing the “Source of Water” – which is source of life on Earth.
Pranaala is in various forms. Generally related to water animals like Makara, Gaja, Kurma etc. so they will be called – Makara Pranaala, Gaja Pranaala, Kurma Pranaala etc.

Didn’t I say you that our temples are simply heaven & imagine this is the knowledge we are kept away from.
“Ananta, Advitiya, Ajaraamara Bharatham”
