I’ve never defended those YDA goons.
I’ve lways believed that dereliction of duty should be dealt with harshly.
I don’t deny that Drs aren’t empathetic or helpful in a lot of situations.
However those who are showing up for work shouldn’t be expected to die because of a lack of
Proper equipment or as a result of reprisals by family members of ppl who’ve lost patients to COVID19
The corona virus cannot be compared to ehsanullah Ehsan or a bomb.
This is an enemy we can’t see. This is multiple bombs capable of killing thousands in droplets of air,
on surfaces, in bodily secretions , even on hair.
There is no way to detect it and hence no way to limit the damage. It’s a common misconception that when someone becomes a dr, they sign up for the risks that are part and parcel of this profession.
Which should include death by fatal infectious diseases.
Not true.
Nowhere in the world have drs been prepared for this onslaught.
And they have been treating diseases like HepC and HIV.
You can’t expect drs to not be scared of dying and to not complain about ppl who’re
Putting themselves and medical professionals at risk by not taking appropriate measures .
The video of that bazaar in Multan is haunting. Women, men, children jammed together wearing no masks and taking no precautions
Their ignorance, while lamentable , is not entirely their
own fault.
I blame the govt.
The PM doesn’t wear masks.
The CM Punjab wears it as a chin strap.
There are no sanctions being imposed on shops and malls where the 6ft rule isn’t being followed.
I understand that the govt has to consider the econ fallout of this disaster and the recession that will most likely ensue as a result of it.
Where does that preclude impressing on the ppl the necessity to take precautions?
Why isn’t the PM taking it more seriously ?
