So last night I wondered about the onboard IT systems in Cummings& #39;s Land Rover Discovery Sport

This">https://twitter.com/jonworth/... morning let& #39;s have a look at how many times Cummings would have had to put https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="⛽️" title="Fuel pump" aria-label="Emoji: Fuel pump"> in it
I initially started checking details of his car, model etc. (it& #39;s a Discovery Sport second generation - see #Second_generation_(2020%E2%80%93present)">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_Rover_Discovery_Sport #Second_generation_(2020%E2%80%93present)">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land... ) and you can tell that from this pic https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EYzP3iDWAAAxJF-.jpg">https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EYz...
But I live in Germany. And Germany is *the* car country, right?

It turns out that DE24 News has done the *whole lot* for us already!
https://www.de24.news/2020/05/welche-suvs-haben-den-besten-kraftstoffverbrauch-in-der-realen-welt.html">https://www.de24.news/2020/05/w...
Their conclusion - based on WhatCar& #39;s mpg measurements for the model he owns - is that Cummings would have needed only a bit more than half a tank of fuel to be able to do the London-Durham trip without filling up
However the chances he could manage London - Durham - Barnard Castle - Durham - London on one tank are... slim
He& #39;d have needed the tank to be full to the rim at the start, *and* the vehicle to manage the lab test mpg, not the real life mpg.

So somewhere along his trip there was at least 1 https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="⛽️" title="Fuel pump" aria-label="Emoji: Fuel pump"> stop.

Where was it? And when was it? https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤔" title="Thinking face" aria-label="Emoji: Thinking face">
