I don't get why white folks think they are the only ones who feel fear. I have feared for my life walking at night in Europe with some drunk white boys behind me shouting 'Hey my nigger!' It was a tense experience. Yet, I don't go out to attack white people first - claiming fear.

The first time a white barber shaved me using a razor, I sat cold and still, praying to the gods of my ancestors that my throat was not at the mercy of a racist with a razor blade.

Black people (justifiably) feel fear too, but we don't weaponise it or use it to justify hate.
