Yesterday I saw a tweet (don’t remember where) someone was criticizing a Christian for putting up something Godly on their profile.

It really stayed with me cos I just remembered it again.

Saints, don’t dim your lights in order to fit in.
This is not a planned thread so just bear with me.

Here’s what’s happening according to scripture.

“knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts,”
II Peter 3:3 NKJV https://www.bible.com/114/2pe.3.3.nkjv
Our response can also not be to match mockers in mockery.

I have an old tweet somewhere where I stress “You can’t insult people into loving God”
Our Model is Christ. Scripture describes him like so.

“who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously;”
I Peter 2:23 NKJV https://www.bible.com/114/1pe.2.23.nkjv
Okay so I didn’t plan a long thread. I am going to Work.

I know it’s hard. I know it’s annoying but don’t try to match petty.

JC said - love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.
But you are not meant to conform as well.

The longer you spend here the more you want to be like the cool kids.

Social Media can blind you to the Joy that is in the Gospel.
I don’t speak on trending topics as a rule but we must also know that we can’t lay aside our Christianity to just join trending gist.
Essentially and conclusively.

“‘All things are lawful for me,’ but I will not be dominated by anything.” (1 Corinthians 6:12)
