In the midst of the Bronson Xerri debacle | return to league - I would like to lighten the mood and let you know about my career mode on #Fifa20 - a thread.
I started a Career Mode with the love of my life, Liverpool Football Club. (Does it iritate anyone else that there is no option at the start to use current Liverpool Manager? Pisses me off.) So I make a guy that looks like me and still call him Jurgen Klopp - go figure.
Anyway - I am presented to the fans and they are furios that Liverpool have sacked Klopp for Klopp (I would be too, I am a fucking imposter.) But I have reassured them I will be able to deliver trophies.
The preseason starts and you are met with your objectives and also the opportunities to play a preseason tournament - naturally I selected the hardest tournament with the most amount of money to help with a lowsey transfer budget presented to the reigning European Champions.
I read the objectives and they are as followed:

- Finish the season with a 225 Million Pound profit
- Raise 180 Million Pounds in jersey sales
- Win the FA Cup
- Win the League
- Within 3 years Win the European Cup
- Level Up an academy player 5 points then play them for 5 games
Big things to consider here: no mention of the league cup, & the academy player wasn't urgent.

Anyways, with the budget given was terrible, so I sold Lallana, Shaqiri & Nathaniel Clyne, and used that Money to buy Jandon Sancho and Timo Werner.
Needing a midfielder, on deadline day I was able to sign Ruben Neves, after winning the Preseason cup and getting extra funds from it.
The board were delighted I had not only won the cup, but signed elite players. AOC wasn't happy with the new midfield signing but I didn't really care.
Anyways, I breeze through the first leaguy games and arrive at the league cup against Crawley Town.
Electing not to play it, I select a team of youth and experience (Milner, OX, Matip, Origi ect) but lose 2-1. Thinking nothing of it, the Board send me a message and say cup success was a big priority. FA Cup, not league was their message.
Fast Forward to the January transfer window. I sell Origi on opening day to RB Leipzig. I have also qualified for the next stage of the Champions League. I use the budgeted money to buy some wonder kids on Fifa (Google is handy for this, the Redbull site is sick)
At the end of the winder, I have cracked a 200 Million Pound Profit and suceeded with the jersey sales. 2 of the main objectives nearly complete.
I then get a reminder from the Board that I have not met some of the key criterea - develop a Youth Player. Easy task. Set the training up and complete the drills (I recommend this as it helps you learn new skills and gives you a break from the games.)
Within afew hours, my players is levelled up and looking ahead of the fixtures, I am playing Norwich, Southampton, Porto, Fleetwood Town and Porto. Easy to put the Youth player on the bench, and rotate Werner and Firmino in and out of the squad and play the kid 5 games.
After completing this, I get a message from Timo Werner that he is not happy with his game time. (Timp is currently the Leagues leading scorer and Champions League leading scorer.) Not wanting to piss him off, I advise him squad rotation is important, to which he is happy with.
The Board then sends me a message and advises me Werner and his reps are not happy with me. The Board advises that upsetting a star player is not acceptable. I play Werner the next few games including the return leg v Porto and he hits a hat trick.
After qualifying for the Champions League round of 8, I am sacked for upsetting Werner and not meeting my tasks, despite all tasks hit, having a 24 point lead in the League and making them a shit tonne of money.
I am now the fucking Manager of Leeds United and I want to kill myself.

Fuck you Bronson Xerri, this is all your fault.
