Now there was no need for a clash plus because our PM was like "Hindi Cheeni bhai bhai" while the Chinese were happily reading "The art of war" and this unpreparedness was the main reason for us getting our ass whipped during the 1962 Sino Indian war.

Outcome of the war
We lost and had to concede around 38k sq. km to the Chinese and in 1993 and 1996 India & China got together to respect the Line of Actual Control which is a demarcation like that separates Indian control territory from Chinese controlled territory.

The slogan Hindi chini bhai bhai quickly turned out to Hindi Bhai Chini Kasai because our soldiers were like lambs to the slaughter.

What exactly is Aksai Chin then?
India claims it as the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir.

Why Aksai Chin?
It's not like Aksai Chin is a land that yields Gold & Silver or even plants for that matter. It's a huge dessert but 5,000 metres above the sea level and you guessed it right which makes it a brilliant military strategic point.

This would help China not just against India but to resist the combined might of India-J&K and Pakistan. Not that we will ever ally with Pakistan and go to war with China.
