This may not be a popular opinion among a lot of the generations of our people, but I stand by it with no apologies/regrets. It’s has always and will always bother me that a lot of our older generations have such a negative bias towards our African American brothers n sisters -
It’s heartbreaking to see so many of our people sit aside like these unjustified killings aren’t our concern. I understand ALL lives matter. But one thing I myself will not ignore is the road that they have paved for ALL people of color, here in the US. We partake so much of
Black culture but in doing so we also have the responsibility of cultivating it n preserving just like how we preserve our own. BLACK LIVES MATTER bc for the last few centuries these killings and injustices have been swept under the rug and treated as though they never happened
But nowadays thanks to social media, we’re able to spread word and awareness about these racist FUCKS (excuse my language) who see and treat us like animals. So I say that to say this. Dont just sit by and watch. Don’t let the sacrifices of our black & brown ancestors go in vein
Didn’t want to make this super long so in conclusion, just bc they’re family. Doesn’t mean it’s okay for them to be racist. I also understand that using the N word in my speech and my music is ALSO a part of the problem. Which is one I intend to fix. Spread luv🤞🏽we all we got.
