Something abt that tmnt callout that's been bothering me... this claim of "lying to fans" and "tricked their fans." One even specific accusation of "trying to coax them into supporting incest."

Where's the evidence of that?

(the post from the orange user is in the next twt)-
This is what Orange said in their post addressing this situation.

Let me start off by saying: I'm trying to be sympathetic to this person because obviously they feel very hurt by this. But I'm struggling to understand why they feel hurt?
Or why they feel betrayed by this artist?

Because this post just reads as very entitled to me, to be completely honest.

My understanding of the situation is that this artist talked to them about familial dynamics... then drew incest AWAY FROM THEM on their private account.
Seems that the artist respected the fact that Orange didn't like incest ships and never spoke about incest ships to them or in their presence. But the artist continued to draw incest ships, as is their right, in their own space on their private account.
That's why Orange's post comes off as entitled to me. You're not privy to every detail of someone's life. You need to respect that friends are allowed to have interests outside of you/away from you. Seems like Orange just didn't want this artist to draw incest at all.
Maybe Orange omitted some details, but my God, from that callout, I was expecting DMs of the artist literally trying to guilt or blackmail Orange into drawing incest art but... there's nothing at all to indicate that.

This callout is a mess all around.
The only logical conclusion I can come up with is that maybe Orange made it clear that they don't want to interact with incest shippers, but the artist disrespected boundaries to befriend them anyway? But again, Orange's post doesn't say that at all, so I'm at a loss here.
And for clarity's sake, Orange is an adult
Additionally, all those imgur links are just porn art (and one link with discord chats mixed in with art). No posts from any of those accused artists that show them "lying" or "tricking" anyone.
And I'll be honest, if any of them did lie and say publicly "oh no, I don't support incest"... can you blame them for lying? Look how incest shippers are spoken about daily. Look what's happening now that this has come to light. People are trying to get them to lose their jobs :/
If I was in a fandom with people who I knew could ruin my livelihood over the drawings I made in my free time on my private account, I'd probably lie publicly too, to save myself from being the subject of a harassment campaign of angry people wanting me to be fired.
And friendly reminder: all of this is over fiction. Over art of cartoon turtles.

This isn't someone hiding a dangerous behavior or mindset from their friends. This isn't someone who's a racist or homophobe behind closed doors.

These people drew rule 34 of tmnt. That's it.
Okay **major correction**

These weren't discord caps, they were caps of the artist's private twitter in night mode. The caps are very tiny and hard to read in the imgur link though, so that's why I didn't notice but yes I can see why Orange felt betrayed- https://twitter.com/lizcourserants/status/1265496769644945409
