Forthcoming: a thread on Forgotten Funds. Specific purpose funds that were created by Govt of India at some point, but are no longer in memory. For instance, as on 31 March 2018, a princely sum of Rs 60,000 was lying in 'Development Funds for Medical and Public Health Purposes'!!

Methodology, since Public Finance shall be everyone's business. Look at major head 8229 - Development and Welfare Funds under Statement 13 of Union Government Accounts, note the opening balance, if you find no value for receipts and disbursement, you have seen a forgotten fund!!!
