While Indigenous women, girls, 2SLGBTQQIA go missing& murdered, @Carolyn_Bennett expects patience. It’s been over 150 years of IA Policies that supported this patriarchal violence. The gov't had 8 months prior to #Covid19 to respond.They failed.

With Covid19, we are witnessing increasing rates of violence. Is @Carolyn_Bennett asking families & communities to be patient while their loved ones go murdered & missing?

3/6 This response is unacceptable & mirrors the colonial violence that has resulted in a CRISIS of violence against Indigenous women, girls, 2SLGBTQQIA people.

4/6 Covid19 has demonstrated that the gov't has the ability to act, even if it resulted from pressure by the NDP. This gov’t needs to immediately stop turning a willful blind eye to violence & i act on ALL the Calls to Justice of the National Inquiry into MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA people.

5/6 We are beautiful, we are loved, we honoured, and are sacred. Our lives are precious, our daughters are precious, our mothers are precious, our sisters are precious, our aunties are precious, our grandmothers are precious. The time to act is now!!!
