Yes. Let's discuss.

Dr. Faust's position is that since there is no real-time data showing an uptick in 2nd & 3rd order lockdown deaths, they don't exist and people who think they do are fame-seeking, murderous "sheeple" who don't know how to read...1/10 https://twitter.com/jeremyfaust/status/1265336681378373634?s=20
That's a lot of judgment for a Dr. who tweeted just 6 hours later about the importance of teaching kids kindness through books.

IMHO, an even better way to teach kindness is leading by example. But at least his concern re: literacy is consistent...2/10 https://twitter.com/jeremyfaust/status/1265425752947859464?s=20
“At this time, the other causes of death people bandy about are just not based on data.”

He's right. We don't have the "data". If there were real-time surveillance & reporting for 2nd & 3rd order lockdown deaths--as there is with COVID--this would be a fair critique...3/10
It is not.

Stats/data on all causes of death can take years to compile & publish

Claiming that "lack of real-time data on 2nd & 3rd order causes of death means they don't exist" is dishonest.

In a dark room, I can't see my hand. It still exists. I just need more light...4/10
Here's more stuff we don't have data on: The impact of fear on refusal to seek treatment & how that may have waned over time.

To that end, we DO know that there was a significant reduction in emergency room cases beginning with the media’s sensational coverage of COVID... 5/10
We DO have reports of STEMI (big heart attack) admissions dropping 38% & stroke- 60-80%.

With 66K+ strokes/month & 60-80% failing to seek care after March 1st, AND delay in seeking care for strokes being a huge factor in survivability, it’s unreasonable not to take notice..6/10
There's too much we DO know (just not in the form of data/stats) for a high-profile MD to be weaponizing illiteracy as an insult and condescending to people for being concerned that excess deaths are lockdown-related.

Or do deaths only count when counting COVID?...10/10
