So yes, the Democratic Party is not holding its own feet to the fire. Sure we ridicule conservative trolls who pretend that Dems are the real racists because they supported slavery a century and a half ago, and were late to peel off of the dixiecrats. Of course that is 3/
An absurd angle. But to say that does not let Dems off the hook for their lazy, self congratulatory and thoughtless "support" for what all marginalized populations, not just African Americans, need. Still very little leadership at the top and very few voices of 4/

still vote for him. But Dems need to get serious about being the party they claim to be. That means no longer paying lip service to the critiques of racism and patriarchy. If Amy Cooper feels completely comfortable in the party, there is something wrong with the party.
