1. Implicit biases do not often align with the explicit beliefs people think they have. 2. People often rely on their implicit biases in stressful situations, resorting to beliefs they truly hold internally.

Be angered by today’s killing in MN & racist tirade in NYC. Talk about it and advocate. But if you are white and want to help the black community, do the hard work of reducing your own implicit bias, calling out racism, and talking to your friends/family about doing the same
