So since we’re talking about it, time for a quick discussion on the harms of baiting and why as a community we should do all we can to stop it.
1. Baiting is Predatory

Baiting is about the absence of consent. It’s about not respecting the decisions of others to choose who to share their private photos with and deceiving and manipulating people into getting what we know we wouldn’t have access to. Just like catfishing.
2. Baiting Makes Queer Men look like Predators

An unfortunate stereotype is that all gay/bi men want straight men to convert them. Baiting plays into that by showing straight and/or DL men that we will take what we want without their informed consent for our own selfish goals
3. Baiting is like Revenge Porn

For those baiters who show people’s face, you are exposing people’s privacy to prove how deceitful and manipulative you can be because you were able to cheat your way to access photos you generally wouldn’t have access to, then you expose them.
4. Baiting shows a lack of self-love

People who bait do so because they keep chasing men who don’t want them. How about focus on the many gay/bi men who are actually interested in you and would freely send you nudes rather than chase and trick men who don’t want you.
You baiting might make you think you’re savvy or smart but what it amounts to is a sad and desperate expression of your own self-loathing and lack of self-worth, if where you get value is in the deceitful triumph over others.
5. Supporting Baiting is supporting all of the above

By enabling baiting pages with likes and RTs, we’re promoting a culture of deceiving men, sharing their images publicly without consent and treating it as some cute talent instead of depraved behavior.
6. Some Baiters are guilty of child pornography

Baiters that target high schoolers are breaking the law by receiving and sharing photos of underage (under 18) boys. It’s disgusting to break the trust of minors for your own selfish desires.
I will continue to report every baiting page I see because this practice is harmful and doesn’t reflect well on a community that is affected by rejection and ostracization.
There’s enough love and sex to go around amongst those of us who are interested in men and we don’t need to target men who should be able to freely communicate disinterest in men and not be harassed by baiting profiles.
If we don’t want heterosexuality forced on us then we shouldn’t force our desires on unwitting men, gay or straight, by deceiving them, collecting their images and sharing them.

Get a fucking life and see a professional about your low self esteem.
And one final thing, the whole point of “freak Twitter” is to access sexual content anonymously and share same. You don’t need to bait to enjoy the sexual content you like.

You do it for power and the joy you get from predation.
