you are fucking delusional if you think america is the "best country in the world"
this country values keeping the rich in power more than it values the lives of those in the working class and if you think that& #39;s okay i& #39;m sorry but there& #39;s something seriously wrong with you
and i honestly think the reason why so many americans believe that this shit is okay is because in the us we& #39;re raised with the (false) belief that every single one of us has the ability to become the next billionaire
so therefore we& #39;re like "oh i& #39;m gonna defend the billionaires now because that& #39;s going to be me one day!" (no, it is not going to be you one day) and we end up screwing ourselves by supporting policy that only helps the rich and leaves the rest of us to suffer at their hands
the mindset that corporations > humans really just shows how fucking brainwashed so many people in america are by a government that always has and always will value the lives of the rich more than it ever will value the lives of the working class
and the whole reason why it& #39;s like this is because people in power stay in power. by and large, politicians already come from power because the political process is so catered to the rich and powerful because you generally need influence and money to run a successful campaign
and who has these resources? the rich and powerful. and once they get to government, what& #39;s their first move? ensuring that their power is protected by creating policy that benefits themselves and other powerful people and fucks the rest of us over
so basically americans need to use their damn brains and realize that the rich are never going to help you because all powerful people want is to remain in power so stop fooling yourselves
and just remember that "saving the economy" during covid is just code for "letting thousands of working class people die so the rich don& #39;t become slightly less rich"
