One thing about myself is I'm a realist. Yes, we need to aspire to make this country more just, more equitable, and more kind, but it will take time, hard work, and the ability to unite people. Yes people have been working hard, but let's be frank, this country is shit and the
hearts and minds of most folks in this country remains unchanged, unless the circumstances are something that is personal to them. We're looking at a very shitty 2020 election, and all I'm going to say, yet again, is ya got what ya got. We can yell and we can scream all we want
about how shitty our hoices are, but never forget you're living on a country with a tradition that is built on the bones of natives, run on the blood of Africans, and fed through the labor of separated families. You REALLY expect our options in 2020 to be any different from
previous elections? America is a stubborn mistress, and change doesn't happen overnight. Change requires coalition and uniting, which many folks in this country have been hesitant to do. If folks were serious about having a different outcome in 2020, folks would have began
coalition building and having discussions about where we need to go in 2020 to get away from the problematic way of governing in the past, but folks failed to do that. They were sure that their ideas, their candidates, their niche groups, would be enough to make 2020 different
and that's just laughable in a political climate where the GOP lines up behind the person who will promise to spite the liberals the most ,while liberals and leftists spend more time on acts of symbolism and fighting each other. I remember saying way back in 2016, unless
Establishment dems can address the underhanded stuff that occurred in 2016, we wouldn't get anywhere in 2020. I also said unless folks on the left could get over concentrating on going at it with establishment dems, falling back on whataboutisms and refusing to expand who they
work with, then we would be back where we were in 2016. And well, we are back to where we were in 2016, and quite frankly im tired of hearing "I don't wanna vote because we deserve better." I agree, we deserve better than Biden, but we only get better when we put the work in.
And that's all I've got to say about that.
