Must go through these episodes before we get the same reactions when one of us gets harassed or killed like you do when an animals gets abused! You value the life of my dog more than you do me; you automatically assume I am guilty yet my dog is pure and innocent...?
I am a father, a man, once a husband, someone’s brother, and son but my dog will get the benefit of doubt before I do.. What The Fuck? My dog doesn’t pay taxes, my dog cannot give you a lung or a kidney, but he has a higher standing in societal hierarchy than me...
You guys have no idea of how painful it is to write this thread with the understanding that it most likely will not be read or shared but I fully expect the hateful comments before any comments of support or willingness to to talk and try to solve the problem.
I am going to end with this... how am I supposed to answer my daughter when she again calls & text me distraught & afraid to leave her house because she is black & afraid of the police? You guys have no ideal of how impossible those conversations are because you will never walk
