Male GOAT list, a thread:
1. GSP
Fought over three generation of fighters. Avenged his only two losses. Greatness personified inside the octagon & outside of fighting. A true mixed martial artist, and arguably, the most well-rounded fighter in history.

2. Jon Jones
I (secretly) stan Jones. He made me fall in love with the sport. Definitely the most talented fighter of any generation, but the asterisks to his name make it difficult to put him no. 1. The multiple failed drug tests will forever haunt Jones & his legacy.

3. Demetrious Johnson
The most DISRESPECTED fighter on the list. He could have easily been no. 1 or 2. Extremely well-rounded, his fight IQ is on par with GSP. He was reigning P4P no. 1 for a long while, I believe. Show me a better finish than DJ vs. Ray Borg. You can't.

4. Anderson Silva
Exciting to watch, definitely brought a lot of people into MMA during the 00's. He's still the MW GOAT by some distance, and I don't think anyone is going to be taking over anytime soon. Probably the best striker on the list.

5. Henry Cejudo
What can I say? His accolades & rise to dominance speak for itself. Look at his résumé, the names on there could make most people's GOAT list, & for good reason too. The only asterisk to his name is that people think DJ won the second fight. Retired too early.

6. Khabib Nurmagomedov
Yes, Khabib in at no. 6. If he retires at 30-0, best believe that he could top this list. His (current) streak of 28-0 is unheard of in MMA. He has only every lost one round in the UFC, yes just one. The most dominant (& best grappler) fighter on the list.

7. Jose Aldo
His fall from grace has been one of the saddest things I've witnessed in MMA. It's a shame all people remember is his 13 second KO loss to McGregor. Otherwise, P4P no. 1 for a decade. Some of the most slickest striking in MMA, devastating leg kicks - best TDD.

8. Daniel Cormier
The first ever champ champ to defend his titles. It's a shame he lived in the Jon Jones era, otherwise, DC would be in at no. 2 or 3 as the LHW GOAT. His success spans over two divisions. And yes, he beats Stipe in the rematch if he can utilise his wrestling.

9. Stipe Miocic
Should he be above DC? No. But is he the current HW GOAT? Yes. It's quite paradoxical, I know. Stipe's résumé & title defences speak for itself. Elite boxing with a strong wrestling base. Exposed the "most feared MMA fighter ever" in Ngannou. HW

10. Dominic Cruz
The greatest bantamweight fighter ever. He's on the same pedestal as these greats. So unorthodox, some of the best footwork you'll ever see in MMA. Cruz was outstanding in his prime. It's a shame about his injuries. I think he still could be champion again.

11. Conor McGregor
The man who changed MMA forever. Hate him or love him, because of him, fighters are getting paid more, they have more recognition. But does stardom mean that you're the GOAT? No. Conor's biggest caveats are his 0 title defences. Otherwise, the best left hand.

12. Max Holloway
The people's favourite. Everyone loves Max. He went on a great run in the featherweight division, & some people (prematurely) called him the FW GOAT. He could have been. Don't ever forget that Ortega beatdown. Iconic moment when he showed Ortega how to fight.

13. Tony Ferguson
Ah, this one hurts, & you all know why. He deserved the undisputed belt. One of the greatest LW fighters of all time. Unorthodox, long, weird, has a great ability to roll with punches & absorb hard shots. Amongst the most unluckiest fighters ever.

14. Fedor Emelianenko
The only fighter on the list to have not fought in the UFC. That's such a shame. If he did, & had beaten UFC level competition, he would have made most people's top 5 list. Nonetheless, an all-time great too.

15. Kamaru Usman
He's only had 1 title defence thus far. But, look at his streak. I personally believe Usman will go onto be an all-time WW GOAT. Maybe not above GSP, but I just don't, or can't see anyone beating him, at all. Not in the WW division, at least.

CONCLUSION:
So this is my list, with all the recent GOAT talk, I wanted to weight. Please feel free to critique. Remember, this is only my opinion. Nothing else.
