Usmani's dismissal of Bharatya nationhood is on old imperialist logic of "diversity"="no nationhood" thats been used by jihadis and colonialists for 200 years. It can be applied to every nation of the world to show them as non-nations. Complexity is in beholders eye and agenda. https://twitter.com/SharjeelUsmani/status/1265266823202816006
But Usmani's support for "noHindiImposition" has the same objective as those who want to impose the urban, Bollywoodi "Hindi" that has half erased its Indic roots by replacing its words with Farsi/Arabic loans - as the "one Hindi" and "one language". Underneath both r anti-Hindu.
Usmani sees the "noHindiImposition" as a political vehicle, just like "Islamo-Dalit-ism", which can hopefully undermine the continuity and cohesion of the nationhood that he declares to be non-existent, yet needs such tools to break it up.
Those who seek to impose the Bolly Urdu-Farsi-Arabic-Turkic mosaic Hindi, consistently trying to purge older regional flavours that retain a more Indic/"Hindu" flavour in its word associations and imagery -as "nationhood" are also doing the work of Usmani.
Bharatya nationhood's "diversity" that angers Usmani and Bolly-Hindi imposers - is actually more connected, rooted in the geography of Bharat, than imported imperialist languages/religions ever do - as they aim Indians identify with cultural homelands outside India.
Its the diversity, even in the language, that holds cultural common roots, mutual acknowledgments, through well-traceable forms of language change over geo-political disruption from a common source based in Bharat.
The diverse, whether regional "Hindis" or derived regional forms, all show a dense interconnectedness that conveys a continuous usage rooted in the land - far more meaningful and emotionally responsive than foreign loans conveying alien cultures and geographies, even ideologies.
We dont care what Usmanis think. Their underlying religious hatred shows through in their characterization of Bharatya nationhood as to do only with "Brahmins". We understand them as a more sly attempt to push agenda of jihad - an imperialist colonialist project against Bharat.
