1/George Floyd died after an officer knelt on his neck for up to 10 minutes. Floyd was pleading with the officer that he couldn’t breathe which only seemed to cause the officer to kneel even harder into his neck. The 10 minute video is hard to watch. All 4 police have been fired.
2/ It’s alleged that Floyd’s arrest was due to him using a false cheque. It’s also alleged that it is not the first time the officer has killed someone on duty.
3/ If police have any chance of reassuring the public that not all police are bad, they need to further condemn these actions by charging the officer with murder/manslaughter. Police are not all bad, but they need to show it by not offering any special treatment.
