#DomesticViolenceOnMen And how it is viewed by our modern society.

An essay.
A thread.

#DomesticAbuse #MenToo #JusticeForJohnnyDepp #AmberHeardIsAnAbuser
I grew up being told if a man ever talked back to me, I should slap him.

I grew up surrounded by images of women slapping/ throwing things at the boyfriend it husband on TV.

I grew up hearing "if he stays, he certainly likes it"

I grew up thinking a "real man" defend himself
And I am far from being the only one.

I grew up hearing women of my family saying it was normal for us to get verbally and physically violent since "we are Spanish and Spanish women have warm blood".

I grew up hearing my father ask my brother " you've been hit by a girl?"....
... And proceed to laugh at him, telling him he could've defended himself easily.

I also saw the double standard men are held to when it comes to violence when this whole #JohnnyDepp Against #AmberHeard story started
Most people sided with her when the story came out. Unable to think even a second that a woman could be lying. When proofs of her harming Mr.Depp became public, they called it "self defence".
When it turned out Amber didn't have any proof of being abused and Johnny was most likely the only one being abused in the relationship, they closed their eyes and called it "mutual abuse".
Mutual abuse doesn't exist. It is just a way to put the blame on the victim. In an abusive relationship, the victim getting angry or pushing their abuser isn't mutual abuse. https://twitter.com/LilithRavenBlo1/status/1264950203255316485?s=19
But when a man gets hurt by his wife, to the point of risking his life from the injury, they call it "karma".
Here's a pretty interesting social experiment for you to see the double standard more clearly #MenToo
That video is a lot more graphic and it can hurt some people. If you've been a victim of domestic violence or if you are particularly sensitive to this topic, avoid watching it.
1st pic : something a woman who has abused her boyfriend almost to the point of killing him said. (Source in the second YouTube video I posted on this thread)

2nd pic : #AmberHeard to #JohnnyDepp (vocal recording)

Sounds similar to you? Cause it sounds awfully similar to me.
The amount of dislike on this video definitely proves that too many people are still being very biased and blind.
