This is a pretty disappointing article. I previously retweeted it before reading it - purely because I loved the cover - but after reading it, it’s clear that this article is just as bad as the drivel that the Daily Mail and similar publications publish https://twitter.com/Tatlermagazine/status/1265331997402071040
It started off okay for the first few paragraphs, and then mention of these ‘a close friend of the Royals’ sources started popping up and it just went downhill
This article treats a slew of untrue rumours and hearsay as fact with alarming confidence. It’s like the author, a gossip monger more than a journalist, hasn’t even bothered to fact check
Further, it’s so clear to anyone with deductive reasoning skills that every single comment from a ‘source close to the couple’ has been concocted out of thin air - as they usually are in these sort of articles - plucked from the unimaginative head of the author themselves
Further, the way this author speaks of Carole and the sisters just digs up long put to bed assumptions about them being social climbers. I think everyone had come to see that they aren’t, so I really don’t understand why this ‘journo’ had to bring it back up?
Basically, don’t believe a single word of this drivel. Tatler may seem like a more reputable source of information, but they’re just a gossip rag for people who don’t want to be seen buying a gossip magazine
Rest assured that the only reason this has been written is because it’s a slow news day for Tatler and other tabloid mags. It’s the same reason why we’re suddenly seeing bad press about the DoC from the Daily Mail
Instead of these tabs reporting on something else, they’re now just microwaving stale old news to stay relevant. Once again; don’t be so quick to believe the things they publish. Their aim isn’t to provide factual information, but to elicit shock and controversy
