Titanic is easily one of my all time most trasured movie. It’s epic, deeply emotional, heartbreaking, thoughtful and moving. As far as romance movies go, this is EASILY my all time favorite one in the genre. DiCaprio and Winslet share some of on my favorite on screen chemistry.
James Cameron’s approach to this historical tragedy proved to be innovative and incredibly profound. For a movie that’s over 20 years old the, the spectacle of all it still holds up immensely and the story is still as efficacious as it was back in 1997.
James Horner’s score for the movie is hands down one of my favorite pieces of music that’s ever been orchestrated in the history of film composing. Horner brings so much sentiment and a true sense of romance to the world, but especially between the relationship with Rose & Jack.
Titanic still shatters my heart every time I think about it rewatch it. For my own personal affliction, Titanic is the greatest modern love story since Gone With the Wind. It’s organic and it completely ravishes you for the entire 195 minutes.
We don’t get movies like this anymore, especially romance movies like this that is epic in ever since of the word. No other romance movie, post Titanic, has even remotely been as impactful touching as Titanic. I love Titanic with every ounce of my freaking being.
