Gov. Abbott announced today water parks can reopen May 29 w/ 25% occupancy but their arcades must stay closed. Adult rec sports programs can resume May 31, but games & similar competitions may not begin until June 15. Driver education programs can resume operations immediately.
Food-court dining areas within shopping malls can also immediately resume operations, but malls are encouraged to designate 1 or more individuals who are responsible for ensuring health and safety practices are followed, including:
limiting tables to 6 individuals; maintaining 6-feet distance between individuals sitting at different tables; cleaning & disinfecting tables between uses; & ensuring no condiments or other items are left on tables between customer uses.
Judge Wolff says San Antonio is doing well compared with Houston, Austin and Dallas areas in terms of new positive case reports and hospitalizations.
Economic transition team briefed city council and county commissioners today. Report is being made available for public review at city's COVID19 website.
