working in a shop during this pandemic really shows you the people who have a "oh that will never happen to me" mentality and just those people that are clearly fucking lacking something
People keep letting their young children come to the shop alone for sweets (which the parent could& #39;ve grabbed while shopping for essentials) when the child doesn& #39;t know how to social distance or even the full extent of coronavirus-
There& #39;s been an increase in groups of kids/teens coming in and the cheek we have received for asking them to follow the rules for everyone& #39;s safety is baffling. We aren& #39;t asking much of them, just to come in one at a time considering they are all from different households-
any of their relatives, the employees at my work or any other shop or even the person themselves could be infected or at high risk if infected and yet they will continue to be selfish and slabber to stressed key workers all for a tin of juice and some sweets.
people really don& #39;t understand the real extent of this virus and how anybody can die from it. I understand parents wanting a bit of peace or kids being frustrated and wanting to see their friends but breaking safety measures for these little things really isn& #39;t worth a life.
A group came into my work and I asked if they were from the same household ( if not they need to come in one at a time) and they lied and said they were all from the same house (my supervisor told me it was a lie as she knew one of them) and I just don& #39;t understand the need??
