I hope that non-Black POC are taking dedicated time to not only reflect on all that is going on for Black folks (beyond just the COVID disparities) but also reading up, making plans to talk about the inhumane actions with family, friends, and community around them
Are you talking to your parents about all the information you’re getting access to from twitter? Are you talking to your friends, siblings, community. Are you checking in on your Black friends?
Are you taking your money out of corporations/businesses that benefit off of stealing Black culture into mutual aid funds, family funds, funds your scroll past
Are we taking ourselves out of conversations that do not need to include us
Like the Combahee River Collective has stated: “If Black women are free, it would mean that everyone else would have to be free.”
