Yesterday my brother in law passed away in Lahore due to potential #COVID . Potential because although he had all the symptoms, he expired all of a sudden before a test result could come out.
He was called back to work last month near Nooriabad (Soorty Textiles).
He among others lived within the mill boundary and had no outside contact. a few days back he had Diarrhea and was put on a drip by the doctor available there. Soon after, his colleagues had a fever and they diagnosed as Malaria. He felt feverish too and thought the same.
He came back to Lahore on Friday to spend Eid with family but before coming home, he went straight to the lab to test for Malaria and it came out negative. Then on Sunday, the Eid day I spoke to him and he was feeling better. His fever went down too. But on Sunday night
he felt slight issues with breathing and went out to get tested for COVID. However, both Farooq Hospital and then Sheikh Zayed didn't test him so he went to Chugtai lab. From there he was asked to go to the main branch but there was no technician or whoever does the test so
he came back. Monday morning he went to Mayo hospital where they put him into the Corona ward because he had symptoms and told the family that he gonna be there until results come out. but within 5 hours they called to say he is expired. Though his death certificate says
heart attack but it is also mentioned as suspected Covid. now we don't know what happened in those 5 hours? did his oxygen level drop? did he needed a ventilator and not provided or was it too soon for even doctors to realize. No one is answering those questions. Hospital staff
brought the body straight to the graveyard to bury and only limited family members were allowed. Siblings who live outside of Pakistan had no chance to be there. This is tragic and serious. Please take extra care of your loved ones. Follow the guidelines. Please pray for him.
