I may get a lot of hate for this but I& #39;m going to say it anyway: folks still in recovery from #covid19 are being fobbed off by doctors in the NHS as "just having anxiety", when they& #39;re still extremely unwell after thirty, sixty, & ninety+ days.
They won& #39;t even entertain that it& #39;s anything else, and many people are being left to cope with no help. They& #39;re being told they can& #39;t possibly still be ill for that long, and dismissed. They can barely walk without shortness of breath, sleeping issues, numbness in limbs
Pain in the area around their heart, & because these symptoms can also be anxiety, nobody wants to listen & they& #39;re dismissed time & time again, labeled as problem patients. I& #39;ve been advocating for someone in this situation, and I& #39;m sick & fucking tired of them being ignored.
This is happening to people who were previously fit & healthy, who now cannot walk or climb stairs without facing exhaustion and breathlessness. Of course it& #39;s happening to people in vulnerable groups too..
but regardless of someone& #39;s health pre Covid19, doctors should not be dismissing patients like this. I live in a rural area where we have 1291 cases out of a population of 539,776.
Oxygen & blood pressure issues dropping to dangerous levels, & they& #39;re all being dismissed. Waking up at night not being able to breathe, NHS 111 doctors telling people asking for help that they need referral for tests, & yet their own GPs are refusing,
despite the NHS still being open (apparently). There& #39;s an international slack group where people are reporting the same post covid19 symptoms, many of whom are in the UK, & their stories are all similar. Nobody will listen, and they& #39;re still ill.
Some of the people on the slack are medical professionals, doctors, nurses, & they are horrified as to why nobody will listen here. This fucking sucks.

Don& #39;t @ me with any bullshit I& #39;m not in the mood. People in recovery deserve better than being dismissed with anxiety
And anxiety is a valid and debilitating ordeal, but it& #39;s not what& #39;s happening to these folks. Trying to get a GP to listen here is like pulling bloody teeth.
