“This is why you don’t do drugs.”
I tracked down my birth mother in 98’ to a crack house near Chicago and Lake. It was an eye opening experience. This farm girl had been taught you never give street people money bc they will buy drugs. Then I met my mother. Did she do drugs? Yeah

Was she a prostitute? Yeah. Were she and her other poor drug addicted friends bad people? Nah. The day I met her, she told me her favorite person was a local Lutheran minister. Why? “Sometimes he gives me $20 so I can buy drugs. It’s one less blowjob”
That single statement forever changed me. And I haven’t looked a homeless, poor, or drug addicted person the same again. This was on my sister’s adoption paperwork. Mine was similar. #GeorgeFloyd
