One thing that distresses me most about the lockdown and the masks is that I truly feel we are losing our humanity. This woman lost her humanity when she called the cops and hurt her dog. People want to make sure she's held accountable. Trust me, she has been. I have some experience with suddenly having millions of eyes on you when you didn't expect it. It's not easy. And I did something most people thought was good. I can't imagine being in her shoes today.

What she's feeling today is a bomb going off in her life. Her job, gone. Her pet (who I'm sure she loves), gone. Her friends, gone. Millions of people sending hate her way.

She made a mistake. A horrible mistake. But she's a human. She's paid her debt.
