Three minutes left on my break so of course I wanna tweet a giant long reflective thread

Right now I'm working ~20 hours a week at [big coffee place]. My commute is 30-40 minutes.

My paychecks do not … quite cover my expenses

They're ~just~ enough for my bills, but don't have any wiggle room for medical expenses, etc.

Break's over, might slip a few more tweets on here. I wanna write more about this.

Started this thread yesterday, picking it up now.

I constantly feel low-grade guilty for leaving my bank job last year. Yes, I hated it but there were good moments too. Yes, I hated it but I was making enough money to build up some savings.

There were so many things that felt unbearable, but I can't quite shake the feeling that I'm just a wimp who should have manned up and stuck with it. Or something.
