It's been jaw-dropping to watch the hundreds of posts @mortimer_1 @fivre604 etc have dropped regarding Airbnb over the last year or two - and the resulting (astonishing) look-the-other-way / hands over ears silence from so many elected officials.
There are so many reason as to why residential units should not be treated as hotel rooms. But lets start w the obvious one. Airbnb reduces affordability by strangling rental supply.

The last few months have absolutely hammered-home this fact.
Another one. You have fob activated floor only elevator security. Great for the kids. Then you see a caravan of luggage dragging strangers pile into said elevator (now packed) and out of said elevator on *your floor*. Or on other floors. Actual experience. Err no thanks.
