There isn't a silent communist/anarchist majority in DSA. If DSA was the most transparent & directly democratic org imaginable we'd still be doing deadend electoral shit and trying to reform our way into a mass movement and use that movement to try to vote our way into socialism.

In theory DSA can change but institutional inertia, entrenched liberalism and structural barriers are a bitch

Honestly a lot of my thinking leads to an argument for vanguardism or at least some form of the mass line. I haven't made sense of that in the context of DSA though.
