Given the way our country has gone since this EP was written in 2011 I& #39;ve felt increasingly awkward and anxious about The War Room & whether we (& that record) are part of the problem. I think it& #39;s good to ask yourself difficult questions like that..
But I think it& #39;s very important to be able to pay tribute to the extraordinary sacrifices made by so many & #39;ordinary& #39; people in that time - like Mike& #39;s dad, like my Great Uncle, and not nervously shuffle away from it, leaving a space for nationalists alone to occupy.
I think we stayed the right side of the line (and I& #39;m not seeking reassurance) and the defiantly Krautrock Spitfire has, thankfully, never fallen into the wrong hands.. But there you go. Some late evening ruminations for you.
