With the news that Act-Age will get an adaptation i’d like to share this

A story about a teenage girl named Kei Yonagi that lives her life through acting. Her journey is like a wonderful movie that never ends, an amazing story that portrays what acting truly means to her.
It’s a promising story that shows a lot of developments in it’s characters.

Passion, Hard work, Desires, Emotions, Bonds and relationships.

Act-Age has it all.
But what does acting mean to Yonagi?

For her it started as a way of escaping reality.
Having to raise her 2 younger siblings after her mother passed away and her father abandoning them.

Worrying about paying bills and her siblings school fees caused her not caring about classmates or making friends.. or to put it better to only care about her family.
Her only way out of her situation was film.
By seeing those people being happy on the other side of the screen she shared those emotions and felt happy too.

Later on she uses this method to express those feelings while acting.
Yonagi mastered method-acting through unconscious self-study.
It’s so real that it’s terrifying.. a double edged sword.
She must avoid getting consumed by the emotion she calls up for her performance.

Acting would be dangerous for her. Becoming a different person is a terrifying skill, she’d self destroy.
Even though she had an amazing audition blowing away the competition. this risk led to her being turned down by the biggest agency in Japan.

Yonagi gave up on her dream. And her not becoming an actress worried her siblings.
She lost hope and accepted the fact that she wouldn’t become an actress, it seemed like all was lost.

That is until world famous director Sumiji Kuroyama showed up.
And so does her story begin..

This is Act-Age
