how to meditate

this thread has been highly requested, as meditation is something that’s v important to me.
i remember starting out and feeling so lost and muddled.
so in this thread i want to help you connect with ur higher conscious ☁️
how?
so first you wanna get into one of these positions:
- cross legged, back straight, shoulders back, thumb resting on middle finger resting on your knees to facilitate energy flow
- lying down w/out a pillow, palms to the sky, arms by your side, chin raised. whatever works 🍌
🍐breathing is the core of meditation, it’s how you center your energy and focus your mind when it wanders.
🏞try breathing in for 7, our for 11 to steady yourself.
💒visualise a bright light filling your body when you inhale, and all negativity flowing out when you exhale
🧘🏼‍♀️when you find you find your thoughts clouding your space, breathe them away and refocus
🍼allow your mind to be free, this is your time for healing and connection to yourself and the universe
🍈you can visualise clearing up your mind, or your happy place, anywhere joyful + calm
🍄listen to guided meditations when you’re starting out, it helps keep you focused.
🧞some helpful apps include: Breethe, Tide, Headspace, Smiling Mind, Simple Habit + Calm
👼🏽don’t make it a chore, allow it to be freeing and beautiful
🔮try to practice in the morning or evening for full cleansing effects, but anytime will work.
