White administrators- we have 3 high profile Black deaths with two on videos. It’s time to check on your Black staff and student-athletes.

Call them and check in. How are they doing? How are they feeling? Do they need someone to talk to?

Have you contacted your therapy services to see what they can do remotely for your department? This will be a lot of weight to carry for the 1-2 Black staff. Do not allow that to happen.

I repeat do not allow for all the weight to fall on your Black employees, they will crumble. White admin- check your ego, your fears, your tears, and your worries. It ain’t about you being afraid.

This is about them. When you call and talk to them don’t you dare start crying and make them have to calm you down. This isn’t about you. Hold your emotions til you get off the phone.

Let them rant and rave about it. Let them show all the emotions they are feeling. Don’t tell them to call down. Don’t tell them it isn’t bad. Don’t say anything. Let them talk.
