Well. I guarantee somebody needs to hear this.

If you manage chronic illness, it is okay to Not Get Shit Done. It is not a reflection of your character. It does not make you a bad or weak or weak-willed individual.

Sometimes, you just Fucking Can't.
I say this, to you, because after a week of being too fucking drained and breathless and fatigued to do much of anything (low iron, BAD episode this month), I decided that I was going to change my linens, vacuum, dust, and do like 5 loads of laundry (most to put away for spring).
And, I was gonna do all that - right after a nice, vigorous shower. Sound good, right? Uh-huh.

About twenty minutes ago, fresh out the shower, lotioned up, smelling good, and getting dressed - I fainted.
Now. I've fainted before. Fainting comes included in the "Oh Shit, Is She DEAD?" Brand Severe Anemia Starter Kit. I usually get a progression of warnings: lightheadedness, trouble breathing, and a high pitched whirring noise that gets louder and louder until I pass out.
Today, for the first time, I got ALL THE WARNING SIGNS AT ONCE. It couldn't have been for more than a few seconds. I was confused, then REALLY scared, then unconscious.

And then, ya know, conscious, fully dressed, tweeting about it for posterity.
You'll be pleased to know that I have mostly accepted the fact that all I'm getting today is CLEAN.

And hey, that is a blessing.
I'm sharing with y'all cuz I know I'm not alone. I follow exquisite minds and ferocious spirits. I can't think of one person I interact with here regularly who isn't a fighter.
So. Accept whatever limits are in place when you need to. Our bodies are jerks, buuuuut until technology or whatever presents desirable alternatives, they're also our houses. "Mind over matter" is real cute until you pass out in your drawls, aight? Take it easy.
