A man by the name of Aaron had a son. That sonâs name was Issac. When Issac became of age, he told his father he wanted to find a wife. One day Issacâs servant was traveling in hopes of finding a companion. Famished, the man waited by a well until a local came to draw water.
As he sat there, the man prayed this prayer to Yahweh âLord, if my master has found favor in your sight, grant him a wife. And let the woman who comes and says she will not nurture me, but my camel also be the wife for him.â
According to Scripture, a woman by the name of Rebekah came to the well to draw water. When she does the servant asks her for a drink. When she says yes, Rebekah adds âand I will not just draw for you, but for your animals as well.â
It is then that the servant realizes Yahweh has
1. Found favor in Issac
2. Given Issac a wife who will help secure the promise given to Abraham.
1. Found favor in Issac
2. Given Issac a wife who will help secure the promise given to Abraham.
The first important nugget I want to point out is Rebekahâs concern for the animals of Issacâs servant.
This shows that Rebekah could handle helping Issac bear the weight of his inheritance.
This shows that Rebekah could handle helping Issac bear the weight of his inheritance.
Fast forward to when Rebekah and Issac have kids. Their two sons, Esau and Jacob fight from the womb until delivery.
Esau is described as a skilled hunter who had an eye for collecting tender venison.
Jacob is described as a âcompleteâ man who dwelled in tents; a philosopher.

Jacob is described as a âcompleteâ man who dwelled in tents; a philosopher.
So it should not surprise us that Jacob knows how to finesse from Esau the birthright which gives a select male of the family an audience with the Most High God.
After doing so, Jacob runs to his motherâs hometown and lodges with her natives.
As he is running, he sees a woman in the field tending sheep. He is immediately smitten and asks her father for the womanâs hand in marriage.

Jacob, the complete man, has an incomplete analysis of the world. A complete analysis would have led him to know that he could not trust Laban.
Laban offered his daughter Rachel to Jacob in exchange for seven years of work. After working for seven years, Jacob was instead given Leah, the younger sister of Rachel.
Jacob would work an additional seven years for Rachelâs hand in marriage.
Because Jacob submitted himself to Labanâs house, he was also subject to Labanâs culture.
Because Jacob submitted himself to Labanâs house, he was also subject to Labanâs culture.
Due to Labanâs daughters being barren (unable to have children), each daughter gave Jacob one of their servants to lie with.
Fast forward to all of Jacobâs children being born: two sons each are born from servants; six sons and one daughter are born to Leah; two sons are born to Rachel.
This brings the total number of Jacobâs children to 13. 12 sons in total.
This brings the total number of Jacobâs children to 13. 12 sons in total.
From these twelve sons we get the archaic twelve tribes of Israel; founding brothers and members of the nation which stands today.
Every single one of these young men existed before Jacob encountered the angel of Yahweh and received a new blessing which changed his name in the earth forever.
What does that mean? That means Yahweh did not use Jacobâs lustful appetite to lead to Jacobâs end, he used it to give Jacobâs name glory forever.
What is my point? My point is, when we spend time peddling âtheologyâ based on what we heard, how we feel, or what someone said, we generally end up in the wrong.
And here, Pastor Todd is completely wrong.
And here, Pastor Todd is completely wrong.
For one, your soul cannot be tied to the soul of another person. Souls can only be tied to spirits. Now, you and another person can enter into covenant with a spirit and bind yourselves to that spirit together but that does not mean your souls are intertwined.
Our souls are unique immaterial identifiers. Just as your DNA cannot be replicated, neither can your soul. Which means that NO ONE can be you.
What they can be however is a âkindred spirit.â
What they can be however is a âkindred spirit.â
Micah 4:5 says âevery man walks after the name of his God; and we will walk after the name of Yahweh forever.â
What this means is that every human beingâs physical actions are the manifestation of some spiritâs identity.
What this means is that every human beingâs physical actions are the manifestation of some spiritâs identity.
If youâre identifying with the same issues and problems a person has, it does not mean yâall have a soul tie. It does mean you and that person are tied to the same spirit and you both need deliverance.
Finally, let me say that Rachel and Jacob both possessed deceptive spirits; so when Jacob saw Rachel in the field, his attraction was immediately to the kindred spirit he saw in her.
Message: Anyone who will help you do wrong is tied to a spirit you donât want.
