i met elad ( @BigElad ) during the ferguson uprising. he was overseeing activities for school children at the library and i volunteered. this is a picture of elad refusing to leave the city jail until protestors were given due process and got to speak to a lawyer. https://twitter.com/stltoday/status/1265334026849656833
he camped outside that jail for more than 24 hours. i know because i brought him food and researched holding laws in missouri as he accounted for every soul that had been arrested en masse.
this article coupled with this picture is a perfect summation of why we must elect him attorney general. he has been harassed and threatened for refusing to let this dark money scandal go.
but before he ran for attorney general we slept on concrete in front of a city jail in solidarity with every protestor. he wouldn’t leave anyone behind. elad believes in a missouri where no one is expendable and every vote counts.
the world is a mess and our leaders are disappointing us. i am telling you elad is different. everyday he wakes up and summons an enthusiasm to answer the call to serve the people. he will talk to anyone with a grievance or facing injustice.
when he is attorney general those big systemic blocks in place that stop change from happening? he’s going to smash them. because he cannot be bought and he doesn’t care who knows who. he wants justice and he pursues it with the tenacity that g-d ordered us to.
no more government with secret budgets or agendas. no more crushing the rural and urban poor to get your cut from a company. government that answers to the people directly is what elad is running for.
if money counts as free speech then he is plugging his ears if you’re a corporation or a pac. he’s running on the novel idea that it should be illegal to own elected officials and then obfuscate that from the public.
learn more at http://eladgross.org  and share this thread and be a stranger. if you have ideas for missouri his personal cell is right there on the website. he will answer you. and that’s more than we can say about the current attorney general.
