I interacted with some black people today who said that black people who spend time around white people grow up to be problematic & are not to be trusted. I have so many friends who are biracial/in interracial relationships whose identity is so deeply rooted in their blackness 1/
My heart hurts for them that people of their own culture, of which they are so proud to be a part of, turn them away. (I wish they were on twitter so I could use this platform to uplift their voices but I’m gonna get their permission to link their igs here so keep an eye out) 2/2

This">https://instagram.com/licornell... is a model who is biracial. She is one of the most inspirational accounts to follow from a creative perspective, but has also taught me a shit ton about her experience as a POC and the privilege that comes with being so pale.
