You think you have taste,
Well how do you know
I mean for God’s sake
Everything’s under control
—Strange

I love the last line especially because of its double meaning. One being the idiomatic meaning of “under control” which places stress that the individual has it control.
The ironies of using this phrase idiomatically is the negative connotation. Usually things aren’t going right and you are trying to exert any piece of control over what you are powerless to. You are empowering yourself so that more harm doesn’t come.
Then there is the literal meaning of under control where an external force controls you. There’s this sense of helplessness in the literal sense. This connects to the first verse whee Yoongi says:

“The world is a giant system.”
And really, as much as you think you have control in the idiomatic sense, you truly aren’t in the literal meaning. Two opposing meanings at play here.

I just really am always in awe of their lyricism and word plays.
