The biggest lessons I learnt after spending over a decade working in the fashion industry is: *never* pay RRP for anything. Unless you really, really love it, nothing is worth paying retail, especially luxury goods. The markup and margin are insane
No one in fashion pays retail bc we know it's not worth it. Either you get discount from your work, you know someone who can get you a discount or you go to sample sales.

For example, I bought a Saint Laurent bag for £600. Retail price? £1800.
I adore that bag but it honestly wasn't worth £1800.

Every brand has sample sales, some are public but the good ones are private. You can usually find them by googling your city + "sample sales" + the month/year
Sample sales are going on now but they're online which makes them a lot easier to access. I got these Monica Vinader rings last week at 70% off.
