Community leaders and organizers who generously donated their time to advise us, incl surveying 300+ families DURING COVID. Their feedback allowed us to augment our strategy to meet the needs of families who told us they wanted to work with people who they already trust. So 3/
We augmented our original strategy by adding a grassroots fund, allowing smaller orgs to apply via a simple RFQ to quickly serve families who they already know need help. Many of these agencies have very small budgets so we also provided admin $. These 50 orgs are joining 20 other CBOs, who are working w/ our partners at @sacredheartcs to go through our existing Interest List, which now has well over 14K names on it. Even more incredibly, we 5/

Responsiveness is a core value so we will course correct as needed, but we are starting Phase 2 w/ 70 (!!) partners who have all jumped in to help get cash into the hands of our most vulnerable families as quickly as possible. We are grateful & we’ve learned a heck of a lot. 7/7
