TUTORIAL FOR BMC (APPOINTMENT 101)

I need to educate these young pro-Buhari guys also knowns as BMC.

The fact that you support someone during election does not AUTOMATICALLY mean that you MUST be considered for an appointment.

Also, being a critic or an antagonist does not
stop the person from being appointed if perceived to be competent.

I, Dr. N.T.A. Azeez supported Engnr Seyi Makinde. There is this booklet called the 'Road map', I dissected and wrote a lot of articles from it, supporting Seyi Makinde.

I even spent my money, of course, Seyi
Makinde didn't 'send' me. I spent my time and most priced asset, my brain. I campaigned for him, like no man's business. There are witnesses of my claims here.

In fact, some of my friends taught I would be the Commissioner for Health or something like that.

No, it doesn't work
that way. He has the prerogative of assembling the right people, which he has craftily done and they are doing a fantastic job.

Was I appointed? No! Has he appointed any person who didn't support him as I did? Probably! Am I angry? No way.

What if Seyi appoints his critics
overlooking staunch supporters like me? That is fine if Oyo state will be better for it.

I should get busy with my job and allow the governor to do his job. If he wants him, he will send for me. If he doesn't want me and the job is being done, it's fine by me.
I didn't support Seyi Makinde as a form of investment. I coined the slogan 'Aqua novus' which means 'Omituntun' which is his slogan.

Oyo state first. No more no less. Bring in any competent Oyo indigene to do the job.

If the job is done, you gain the trust of the people
In summary, as young people, there is nothing wrong in supporting someone we believe in. However, we must have our jobs and not necessarily expect appointment. A competent critic can also be appointed, as long as the job is done.

Think am o
