At this point everyone has individual choices to make to protect themselves, their loved ones, & their communities at large. I don’t think shaming works but I am so hurt & confused by people who make choices to put others at risk during this time.
Idk if it’s because I get local political briefings every day & then get private messages from my community & then messages from the city at large through work or what. I feel very tuned in to it all & it’s taxing. Seeing folks being irresponsible is upsetting.
And if there’s anything activism has taught me it’s that people on the ground are what make actual change. I’ve also learned people don’t care about anything not directly affecting them, no matter who’s suffering & dying.
Anyway, I could’ve put this in my journal but I feel like I should share it with y’all in case anyone feels similarly. 💕
This is also a very good thread beyond being angry about individual actions.
